| Welcome to Epheser olive oil
Olive oil has been produced in Ephesus since the 16th Century. Ephesus,
then capital of the province Asia, was an old destination for pilgrims
in Turkey and a significant port of trade. 300’000 people lived
here at its heyday.
Amongst this 3’500 year tradition, the Ileri family produces its
Ephesian olive oil. The olive grove “Ab-u Hayat” (Source of
life) consists of 2’720 Memecik olive trees between 50 and 150 years
old.
The harvest, which takes place every 2 years, produces 9’000 to
10’000 litres of golden, mild- flavoured olive oil. |
